In is undeniable that watering lawn properly is very important to make your lawn healthy and keeping them in attractive condition. Most people watering lawn in the wrong way, if it not too long usually they watering their lawn not long enough.
In order to water your lawn properly here are some tips that you can use.
In order to properly watering your lawn, you should not do it in one go. What you have to do is to watering it only in the dept of the root only. This is the first steps anyway.
Every time you water your lawn you should aim only about 6-8 inch only. This will be enough to moist the soil. Blue grass will need about 8-11 inc of depth. The reason for this is that we need only to water the gross active root zone. After sometime the water moist will go down to the deeper root zone. These usually depend to the type of soil and the irrigation systems. If you have sandy soil the water will penetrate quickly and deeply than clay type of soil.
How to determine the length needed to moist the root zone?
The best way is applying some formula that not many people aware about. What you have to do is to run your sprinkle for at least 15 minute. After 24 hours later dig the ground using the probe to know exactly how deep is the soil has been moistened. From this you can determine for how long you can water your lawn.
On the other hand when the grass need water the grass will take color of a bluish and dull green color and the blade made little bit of rolled. The best time to water your lawn is in the morning and around 5 o’clock in the afternoon. Watering the grass in the middle of the day is not advisable. This is due to the fact that evaporation makes the soil hotter that make the plants and the grass suffer.
